Do i need padding under vinyl plank floor. They mimic hardwood yet offer the ease of maintenance of luxury vinyl. For the record i do love our floors and would purchase wide plank vinyl again. Putting a soft product under vinyl plank will result in an unstable floor that is much more inclined to being damaged and even punctured or torn over time. The salesperson insisted i ll need to spend 250 on their foam pad because the vinyl floors which we re installing over beaten parquet hardwood floors will be loud without the pad.
There do appear to be some rugs which have soft backing which might not need a pad. One of the most popular products on the market are easy to install click and lock vinyl plank tiles. I m about to buy some vinyl plank flooring with pvc backing to install myself. Vinyl planks require hard thin underlay because the product itself is softer.
Eco friendly pads seem to be the exception generally felt construction they re not cheap so folks should keep this in mind when considering area rugs. What about for click and lock vinyl tiles.
