Dometic Electric Awning Problems

Diagnosing my power awning problem.

Dometic electric awning problems. Pinch hazard. If awning is over extended press horizontal distance of at least 16 between fully open awning and any permanent object. A small voltage drop can do a lot on a 12 volt system. Lastly it could be the gears in the motor housing.

Maintain a verify valance is in correct position and adjust if necessary. Watch for any interference at the same time. There can be an obstruction in the arms or rust build up on the strut. Usually the clicking are the gears skipping.

Wall mounted rv awnings. If this is hard to do it could be the strut. I can direct you in this repair. Could be a bad strut that is hard to collapse grab the awning while out and try pushing in by hand.

The dometic power awning also functions using our keystone cougar trailers wireless remote control. Some of the early versions were under recall but i think that was before yours was made. The usual problem is a bad connection in the motor wiring or in the mechanism that holds the gear to the shaft. I deduced this in two ways.
