Dometic Power Awning Won T Retract

My dometic 9100 electric awning will not retract and just clicks at the motor.

Dometic power awning won t retract. And now it just clicks and won t retract. Dometic power awning is stuck in retract you can hear the dometic power awning is stuck in retract you can hear the motor trying to engage but it s almost as if it s too tight preventing it from opening read more. I am having an issue where my dometic power awning won t retract. Here are the items to check for power problems.

Locate the supply connection terminal on the motor and connect it with the battery supply wires that you will have. The easiest way to check your power is with the battery meter built in to your rv. At the motor on the right side of the awning just happened. Low 12v power this could be caused by a bad battery or the 12v converter in your rv may have failed or be failing.

One of the possible causes may be that the awning s position where it attaches to the coach via the awning rail has moved. If it did show 12 v then that means the awning wiring is fine and the issue lies with the motor. If the awning motor doesn t receive power it will not be able to extend or retract your awning. Read the correct way to erect a caravan awning if not already.
